How long has Superior Remodeling been around?
Superior Remodeling was acquired in 2008 by Bill and Pam Magyar who are the current owners and operators today. Home Remodeling has always been a family business as Bill spent many of his earlier years working with his father on his own Remodeling company based out of Connecticut.
What does Superior Remodeling do?
Our specialties include installing vinyl and PVC replacement windows, composite material siding and new entry doors. Through strategic partnerships we also offer interior remodeling and other handy man type work. Just about any project you have can be tackled by Superior.
Is the price that has been quoted the final price, or should I expect additional charges?
We will absolutely never charge you more than what is stated in the written contract we agree upon before starting work on your home. However, there are some hidden elements and problems that can arise. For example, if we were installing new windows in your home and found the window sub-frame to be rotted we would need to repair. We can guarantee you will never see unexpected or unwarranted charges.
Do you provide written contracts?
Absolutely. You should never let anyone work in your home with out specific terms spelled out in a contract and then signed by both parties.
What kind of warranty does Superior offer?
As a company we offer a limited lifetime warranty on all labor. Most of our windows and doors come with manufacturer’s transferable limited lifetime warranties and our siding comes with a 30 year warrant.
Is Superior bonded and insured?
Absolutely. You should never let anyone work in or around your home without first seeing proof of license and insurance.
What is the average time table for windows/siding/door projects?
This answer really depends on your specific project. On average window installations take about 2 days, siding one day and doors one day as well. Keep in mind windows and doors are always custom ordered and take 3 weeks on average to get fabricated.
Does Superior require any type of down payment?
We only request down payment on custom orders because of their custom nature. They are made for your home and will not fit in other houses. If you are uncomfortable making a down payment we can absolutely work with you and find a solution.
Does your window installation disturb any interior trim or paint?
No. Our installations are from the outside-in so the only trim we disturb is on the exterior of your home. Before installation is complete the exterior trim is covered with a paintable vinyl coated aluminum that masks any unfinished spots and brings the offering of low maintenance full circle.
Are they any tax benefits to installing new windows?
Yes, there is a tax credit program set up by the US Government. You can read more about it here.
What types of siding do you offer?
We only install composite material siding; no wood or vinyl due to their lower value and higher maintenance over the long term. James Hardie and Nichiha are our primary siding providers but we can supply any type of siding you want.
What types of windows do you offer?
We only offer vinyl replacement windows of the highest quality. We have several brands available and you can view them by browsing through the menu at the top of the page.
Is Superior a lead safe installation company?
Absolutely. If your home contains lead based paint or was built before 1978 and needs to be tested for lead paint we are equipped to test and install windows and siding in a manner safe for those living in your home. Click here to read more about the new Lead Laws
